ABOUT US
The Oxford Wildlife Photography and Film-making Society (OWPF) was founded in 2020, and is run by students at Oxford University, who all have a love of wildlife photography, film, and art. The OWPF is open to any members of the university who share these passions, or simply want to try them out! New members can join us through our Facebook page.
I’m Barbara, the President of the OWPF, and I’m so excited to be leading the society this year! I have been taking wildlife photos since I can remember, snapping shots of anything that moved. My particular passions are macro and bird photography. I love finding hidden details in seemingly mundane places. Wildlife film and photography has led me to discover some really surprising and beautiful things in the world around me. I believe film and photography are a great way to get to know and appreciate nature. I hope you’ll join us this year to explore the wildlife around Oxford, and get involved with some of the cool events we’ve got lined up!

Hi, I’m Harry, and I’ll be the Treasurer for OWPF Society this year! I’ve been involved in photography for a couple of years now, first beginning as a hobby using my phone camera and now getting involved with societies and sports teams around Oxford. My favourite wildlife photographs to take are of birds in flight, although I have a newfound respect for anyone patient (and skilled!) enough to capture a Kingfisher mid-air. As Treasurer of OWPF, I’ll be involved with the financial side of the society, as well as organising and carrying out the events we have planned for the year!

Inés (our IT Officer) joined the society this year and is very excited that she'll get to see so many great wildlife pictures from Oxford and all over the world! She is also looking forward to meeting fellow wildlife photography enthusiasts and participating in some of the society's fun events and competitions.
